Since its establishment in 1999, the World Dental Development Fund (WDDF) has supported diverse initiatives that contribute to the improvement of oral health and benefit disadvantaged individuals and/or communities around the world.

Each year, FDI proudly supports three to five impactful projects through the WDDF, providing grants of up to CHF 10,000 per project. For 2024, applications are accepted until 15th June.

Are you ready to bring your innovative oral health vision to life?

FDI accepts WDDF applications from its Regular and Associate members, as well as outside applications from non-members. To qualify, non-member applicants must include an endorsement letter from a Regular or Associate FDI member national dental association (NDA). This is your opportunity to showcase your creativity and commitment to oral health on a global scale.

What sets a project apart for WDDF consideration?

To be eligible for WDDF, projects must not only align with national oral health priorities, but also demonstrate a strong educational and public health impact. Sustainability should also be key focus to ensure lasting effects for future generations. These projects should establish innovative oral health prevention and care programs, particularly for disadvantaged populations. Furthermore, the initiatives must address at least one of the following topics: education, oral health promotion, disease prevention, primary healthcare, or response to COVID-19.

Join us in our mission to improve oral health worldwide. Together, let's forge a world where oral health is not a privilege but a fundamental right for all. Apply for the WDDF today and become part of something truly extraordinary.
