Prof. Young Guk Park
Prof. Young Guk Park is a researcher and author in orthodontics and craniofacial biology, especially in signal transduction of osteoblast differentiation. He is Professor of Orthodontics at the Kyung Hee University School of Dentistry, Seoul, where he is the Immediate Past Acting President and Academic Provost of the University.
He is a member of FDI World Dental Federation Council.

Abstract
Open bite is challenging malocclusion which has wide diversity of etiologic factors, such as unfavorable growth patterns as well as functional aberrations, and provoke the complexity of problem in function and esthetics. The treatment involves surgical and non-surgical modalities, in particular, non-surgical intervention may exemplify molar intrusion, incisor extrusion, and geometric closure of mandible by extraction of bicuspids.
The aim of the presentation is to elucidate the general guideline in diagnosis and treatment of open bite malocclusion in specific emphasis on the use of orthodontic mini implants.
