Prof. Lim earned his dentistry degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Malaya and received his full-time specialist training in Prosthodontics at the Dental Institute of Guy's Hospital, King's College London, London, UK. He is responsible for teaching prosthodontics programmes at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. Committee member of the Hong Kong Prosthetic Dentistry Society (2024 - Present) Former president of the Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry (2020-2021) Delivered over 50 lectures and workshops, authored more than 100 publications, and received nearly 50 international and national awards in recognition of his contributions to academia. |

Abstract
Tooth wear is invariably accompanied by dentoalveolar compensation, which can present a challenge for restorative dentists, particularly when tooth wear is localized. Managing localized anterior tooth wear is demanding, as it necessitates preserving the remaining tooth structure while ensuring the teeth and restorations function effectively for an extended period. One treatment approach is the Dahl concept, introduced over 40 years ago, which provides a safe, straightforward, and minimally invasive method for creating localized interocclusal space for definitive restorations
