As part of the continued dissemination of the Oral Health Observatory (OHO) 10 Years Impact Report, FDI has developed and released French and Spanish versions of the report, opening up the findings to a broader international audience and supporting greater exchange across oral health communities.

Alongside the new language editions, FDI has also launched a new episode of The Dental Check-Up Podcast dedicated to the report, creating a dialogue around 10 years of oral health data. Featuring Prof. Sarah Baker and Prof. Georgios Tsakos, members of the OHO Task Team, the conversation explores key questions emerging from OHO’s journey, including the main challenges of collecting practice-based data and how the OHO survey differs from traditional, national oral health surveys.

The discussion also highlights an important finding from the data: even in countries where positive oral hygiene and lifestyle behaviours are reported, oral diseases remain prevalent and chronic. This points to a wider challenge for oral health systems that are still largely structured around treating patients, rather than supporting the long-term management and prevention of oral conditions.

The podcast complements the report and helps explore what OHO’s 10 years of data can tell us about the future of oral health research, policy and advocacy.
