Dr Sondos Albadri
Professor Sondos Albadri is a Professor and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry, and Vice Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies at the University of Liverpool School of Dentistry. She also serves as the Senior Vice Dean for the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England.
A passionate advocate for improving clinical outcomes, she leads the Oral Health research group, focusing on enhancing patient care, reducing health inequalities, and improving oral health in vulnerable populations. Her research interests include dental trauma and oral health outcomes in children with complex needs.
Sondos has served as President of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (2021/2022).As a clinician, she works at Liverpool University Dental Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where she established a multidisciplinary clinic for children with complex medical and dental needs and developed a transitional care pathway for young patients with dental trauma.

Abstract :
Managing complex dental needs in children, particularly those involving dental anomalies, malocclusion, and eruption abnormalities, necessitates a cohesive interdisciplinary approach. This lecture will underscore the critical importance of collaboration among various dental and medical specialists to achieve optimal outcomes for young patients. We will explore the nuanced challenges presented by these complex clinical situations and demonstrate how a unified team strategy enhances diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and long-term prognosis. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the specialist paediatric dentist's pivotal role within such a multidisciplinary team. The session will facilitate discussion on the effective management of intricate dental anomalies and provide insights into navigating various eruption abnormalities, equipping participants with practical knowledge to improve patient care in complex cases.
