Council Committees
The three Council Committees are composed of members of the Council, each with different powers and functions.
The Executive Committee offers guidance to the Executive Director and serves as the decision maker on urgent matters, which cannot be considered by the Executive Director, and cannot be referred to Council due to time or other constraints.
The Finance Committee makes financial recommendations for consideration by FDI Council and the General Assembly. The Committee offers guidance on FDI's financial affairs and prepares the annual budget, analyzes annual financial reports, and makes recommendations on membership subscription fees and investments.
The Remuneration Committee evaluates the Executive Director’s performance and conducts the annual review. The Committee also makes recommendations regarding allowances and other expenses for Council members, Standing Committees, Working Groups and Task Teams. Recommendations made by the Remuneration Committee are presented to the Finance Committee for approval.
