Global Antimicrobial Resistance Dental (GARD) Early Career Researcher network
Dentists are responsible for prescribing 10% of all antibiotics for humans internationally, yet compared to the rest of healthcare, the amount of research on dental antibiotics remains little.
To ensure that oral health professionals can strengthen their role in global antimicrobial research efforts to tackle antimicrobial resistance, the FDI World Dental Federation has established the Global Antimicrobial Research Dental (GARD) Network, for early career researchers.
An Early Career Researcher of the GARD ECR network is a person who is within 10 years of starting a postgraduate qualification related to dental antibiotics and research, or within 10 years of their first peer reviewed publication about dental antibiotics.
The GARD Network provides opportunities for early career researchers in the field of dental antimicrobial research to come together to share their experiences and ideas.
