Abstract:

Despite all efforts at prevention, medical emergencies will occur in the dental office. The dental practitioner and
office staff must be prepared and well equipped to provide primary management for any medical emergency. Even if most of the accidents are mild and easy to handle without complications, it remains that in particular circumstances the situation can evolve dramatically. The aim of this presentation is to offer information and understanding, allowing the dentist to manage properly different situations and to evaluate the seriousness and risks of each particular accident.
